Wanderlust
You give me wanderlust. And I am a hummingbird, wings beating like frantic heartbeats; I am jasmine flowers sticking out of ransacked hair and empty bedsheets, cold until you wait long enough, and we are a rainstorm. Frantic and soothing; soft noises from inside, bellowing stardust from outside; every noise a thundering pulse; every breath a shaking leaf. And as much as we are flying we are...

A Short Sweet Song
I can hear the bugs as they wander. I can see the wind moving around me. The music pumps through my viens. Crickets chirp. The world spins and turns. My heart beating faster and faster until I feel as if it’s going to pop right out of my chest.  He grabs my hand as my heart beats on the inside of my chest for one last time. Then there is a moment of stillness. Time has frozen. The fire crackles as...

It’s a weird feeling to see pictures taken of me from barely a year ago. It’s been about 7 months since I’ve started losing weight and just seeing a picture from June 2011 to September 2011 next to each other.. I’ve come a long way. Sorry about the personal spam, I’m just proud of myself~

This is torture to the worst degree.
So I’m in a 3D art class funded by “We Love Long Beach”, and the building is soon to grow and take over the entire lot around it. What’s in that lot? A really old book store named “Acres of Books”. There are hundreds of old books in there. What is the first project we’re doing in this art class? Re-purposing the books. I have to tear the books apart...

alaskaandabroad asked: Hi! I'm Kristina. I just started tumbling and found yours by googling literature tumblr's. I love a good quote and reading is my favorite so it's right up my ally. Just saw The Hunger Games at midnight last night. I almost think I'm getting too old for that (I'm not .... I'll be 24 in a few months. That's not too old, right?) but it was worth it. I live in Alaska...

Sorry I've been gone!
School is insane and I keep hurting myself. Just yesterday I got two third degree burns and a two degree burn on my hand.  I’m an idiot, but I love me. Read any good books since I’ve been gone?

Poetry?
It is hard to write happy. Happiness is shallow and doesn’t extend past the meeting of our basic needs. Sometimes I take pleasure in my sadness because in it, I find real and raw emotion. Nothing is fake about pain. Yet, within all of this, I discover my unabated love of emotion. And in that, lies my joy. Thus through my hurt and suffering is a beauteous love that I do not dare to question.  It...

Cold Day. - Music Writing Challenge
It’s a cold day.                 She’s sat opposite the school playground, and the sounds of children playing can be heard, just over the electronic blur of her music.                 It’s weird, that those days are only just behind her, in comparison to everyone else around her, that life she’s nurturing and holding in her hands, fragile, has only just begun- but, to her, it feels like forever....
