Annual Obituaries (E, writing challenge)
E is for Eric
who’s buried alive
tossed in the coffin by his wife
she came home and saw him in bed
he was lucky she didnt cut off his head
so she chopped the other one off instead.

I think I've settled on a post apocalyptic story
I can’t make a decision!

The idea I had was for animals to get infected with a crazy Rabies virus that was government made.
I’ve started it before, and I was going to do this thing where you get to follow lab reports as the virus goes haywire.
(For example)
Exp. 14-2037.04
Log 01-0007
Injection given to test subject via syringe, positive feedback observed. Subject will remain under close observation...
I might as well use my "end-o-the-world" story...
I got the idea from a dream a year back
But I feel it’s a bit overplayed…

accidental-scars asked: So, I saw your reading list thing and I'd like to recommend a book. It's called "The Language of Flowers" by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. It seems and looks like a girly coming-of-age novel but it's not. The author was from my small town, a teacher from my school taught her, and the inspiration for the book came from a place downtown here. It's really inspiring and I just...
overrun-by-oysters asked: I just discovered your blog, and I love it! Especially the 'habits of a reader' series, all those quirks are so very true. And the beautiful words as well; for some reason 'askance' is one of my favourite words to use when I'm writing. I guess I didn't really have anything to say, except that I seriously love tumblrs about reading/writing and I'm glad I came...

Title Lost
Walking slowly thru a field of flowers her hands will lightly glide over the top. Letting heaven’s cloud overcast from above. She would ignore the cries of angels.
Singing the same song “From stars to dust, building life off of all these rusty dreams.”
She would walk till she was lost because then she would find everything she was looking for.
She would shake hands with great leaders of the...

The Bouts of Stormy Weather
The bouts of warfare begin within. I can’t let the depression win. Those spiteful words that hurt as they touch Coming out a bit too much. I wear this artifical skin that hides it all, So I won’t fall. The precautions I’ve taken, So I won’t be mistaken. For what is real and what is fictitious. I begin to feel malicious. And I want to be left alone As the anger begins to rise. And my tears won’t...

Winter Nights
Cold winter nights as our main character wanders these lonely streets. Passed along closed convenience stores that only served to inconvenience him. Like large boulders in the wilderness stopping the path of a tiger stalking its prey.
He would drag his hands across the ancient writing. Letting each word reinvigorate his hunt.
